About The Role

 

 

Role Purpose:

The role will form an integral part of the Ecommerce team, ensuring that all products are available on the website in time for key events throughout the year. Considering how users navigate the website, the candidate will be responsible for merchandising products accordingly, positioning them in the correct categories and creating new categories where necessary.

The candidate will support the Ecommerce Manager in updating homepage banners, implementing offers and promotions, publishing blog and social media posts and creating both category and product content.

As the website evolves throughout 2020, the role will offer the opportunity to be involved in all areas of Ecommerce & Digital Marketing. Email marketing, social media, SEO and PPC will form Clintons traffic acquisition strategy and will be a key focus for 2020 and beyond. Whilst experience in these areas is desirable, it isn’t necessary if the candidate can demonstrate a history of professional development

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Upload products and ranges in bulk and maintain website content, pricing and promotions.
  • Continually optimise digital touch points to improve efficiency and ensure customers have a reason to return to the site.

  • To continuously identify and implement content improvements.

  • Analyse and improve merchandising on the site and produce relevant reports using Google Analytics.

  • Assist the E-Commerce Manager in the development of campaigns, building and optimising landing pages.

  • Maintain accurate pricing and product information, including timely updates to promotions, out of stock or discontinued items. Regularly update the site to ensure consistency with the brands monthly focus and provide customers with a reason to return to the site on a regular basis.

  • Produce effective email campaigns ensuring thorough testing across all platforms and email clients.

Role Essential Skills:

  • Experience of content management systems (Magento, Shopify, Big Commerce)
  • Experience of Google Analytics

  • An understanding of bounce, exit, open, click through, conversion rates and other key Ecommerce metrics.

  • Excellent writing skills & the ability to write product descriptions, category content and blog posts.

  • Experience with popular social media channels.

  • Methodical and able to prioritise workload effectively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication. I.T literate.

  • Excel capability essential.

  • Good organisation skills and able to multi task

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Can work at pace

Ideal Skills:       Familiar with the Magento Enterprise CMS platform and email platforms such as MailChimp. Training will be provided where necessary.
